The challenge
TradingGuide competes in UK finance, one of the most regulated and expensive search markets in English. Its awards pages needed authority from relevant business and finance publishers.
What I did
For 17 months I kept the money pages supplied with links from UK, Nigerian, Kenyan and European business publishers (one to six a month), including Pulse Nigeria, The Star (Kenya), Business Review and TechRound.
What happened
“best crypto wallet uk” went from #18 (November 2022) to #1 (February 2024) and the site's keywords in the top 10 roughly doubled while estimated traffic peaked at about 2.5× its starting level (Ahrefs). The page-level link timing is weaker than in the betting cases, so I credit links, content and on-page work together.
